Patrick Nickisch, of Cologne, Germany, is a Vaishnava theologian initiated as Purushottama Krishna das. He is specialized as an educator, councilor and scientist of world religions in East West dialogue, global studies, and international relations. As a diplomat within the UN system, he is advocating for a human rights-based approach for sustainable development (SD) and works in the areas of disaster risk reduction (DRR), conflict prevention and peace-building. Special emphasis is given on issues of water and the oceans, the indigenous peoples and cultures, women and children. He consults individuals, companies and organizations in strategy, internationalization, finance and project development.
